Pre-Survey Checklist: What You Need to Know
To ensure your heat loss survey runs smoothly and delivers the most accurate results, there are a few key steps to take in advance. Please review the following checklist to help us conduct a successful assessment of your property.
Arrival Time
When booking your survey appointment, please keep in mind that we may arrive at your property in the early hours, possibly as early as 5 a.m. during the summer months. An estimated arrival time will be agreed upon closer to the date, depending on sunrise time and the weather forecast.
Weather Consideration
Weather conditions are an important factor for your appointment. Unfortunately, we cannot conduct the external part of the survey in strong winds, rain, or if the walls to be surveyed are wet. This may result in a last-minute postponement, but we will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible.
Closed Windows
For the most accurate survey results, the thermographer requires at least a 10°C difference between internal and external temperatures. To achieve this, please close all windows, doors, and trickle vents, and set your heating to at least 10°C above the forecasted outside temperature for approximately two hours before our arrival. We will provide further guidance closer to the appointment.
